The Flower Drums

When I set out to create my own indie radio show nearly 3 years ago my goal was to discover some incredible bands out there in the world and share them each week with my listeners. This week’s Extended Play Feature artist is a perfect example of the success that has graced me after quite a bit of hard work in making my presence known out there on the internet. They contacted me through one of my many pages and I clicked the play button to see what they were all about. Needless to say I was not disappointed.

The Flower Drums are a 4-piece band from Perth, Australia whose music had me floored as soon I heard the first song. To date they have 2 EP’s and a few singles under their belt and they’re already working on a full album release. Their latest release is a AA-Side release (meaning both songs are so good that neither is the B-Side) that redefines the sounds of shoegaze & dreampop. With brilliant musical melodies and genius song structures, The Flower Drums prove that they’re certainly relavent and definitely worth your time.

Give their music a listen and please support these very talented artists by buying their music and tell your friends to do the same. It’s your support that will help keep good indie music alive in a world flooded with bands looking to get a shot at being your next favorite artist. – Steven Newcastle
